The first international Recorder Race

Held in Munich on July 12. 2003

Venue:

the gym of the Eisenbahnsportverein München Ost, located at the S-Bahn station Berg-am-Laim, stamped with the remembrance of the post-war working class

An international mix of Designers, students, DJ´s, engineers, computer nerds etc from all over central Europe. The racing stables presented themselves in a elaborate corporate identity and supporting team.

The winners:

„World Recorder“ and „1st price Grandezza“:„BTG1“ racing stable: „Bündnis tonträgerabhängiger Geschwindigkeitsoptimierung e.V.“; „1st price Speed“: „Elta Race“ racing stable: „Hofreitschule Wien“.

(All awards: designer lamp, skateboard, CDs and books have been donated by sponsors – again: thanks a lot!)

The international judges of the highest calibre:

Highly competent regarding “overall grandezza”, technical finesse and action capability: Konstantin Grcic ( international renowned designer), Jochen Hirschfeld (action director), Christoph Böninger (chef-designer Designafairs GmbH), Frank Wojeczewski (fashion designer) and Reinhard Segers (chef-designer Gaggenau)

The audience:

Triggered by mouth-to-mouth propaganda and www-networks, 180 enthusiastic fans of the sportrecorder comprising areas like design, art, music, pop culture teamed up as a thrilling audience. Musical support by DJ Stereofreund from Frankfurt/M.
